This week in Falcon Class...

  - In Literacy this week we have been reading the story ‘Handa’s Hen. ’ We talked about where the story was set and created a story map to show the main points of the story. We then had a go at retelling the story in our writing.
-In Maths this week we have been working on our subtraction skills. We took away small groups of objects from ten and recorded our work in a number sentence.

  - In our Topic work this week we have been thinking about animals that feature in the ‘Handa’ stories. We talked about where you would find the animals and had a go at painting a picture of one of them. In science we made some puppets and then used a torch to create shadows of our puppets on the classroom walls. We also celebrated National Science Week by investigating how to make a balloon rocket!
