Our fantastic day at Belton House!
Today we went on a school trip to Belton House. We walked around all of the grounds, including the lake and the maze, and looked at all of the beautiful flowers. A big thank you to Mrs Streeter, Mrs Grant, Mrs Cozens and Mrs Botton who came with us today.

This week in Falcon class….
-In Literacy this week we have been learning about
poetry. We read a poem about a rainbow and then thought of some ideas for a
rainbow poem of our own. We then wrote a simple poem describing the
seven
colours of a rainbow.
- In Maths this week we have been busy data
handling. We went out into Caythorpe and filled in a tally chart listing the
different colour cars on the High Street. We then used the information to fill
in a bar chart.
- In our Topic work this week we learned about the
life cycle of a sunflower. On Monday we drew some sports-related pictures using
chalk and on Tuesday we took part in sports day. We were also very excited to
take our sunflowers home - they have grown very tall
already!
Look at our sunflowers!
This week we took our sunflowers home. They have grown very tall and we can't wait to plant them in our gardens!
