This week in Falcon class….

·        In Literacy this week we have been reading the story ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch.’ We made a story map of the key events in the book, and labelled our drawings. We then used our maps to retell the story in our own words.  

·        In Maths this week we have been thinking about solving addition and subtraction number problems. We were given lots of problems to solve, and we had to work out which was the important information in the problem. We then worked out the correct answer, and recorded our work in a number sentence.

 ·        In our Topic work this week we have been busy preparing for Father’s Day. We have made cards and a gift for our Dads, and prepared a little video too! We also had to pretend we were the lighthouse keeper from the story, and we had to build a bridge to get us across the sea with our lunch. We have also been very busy practising for Sports Day.
