This week in Falcon Class...

·        In Literacy this week we have been thinking about poetry. We read some poems as a class, and then thought of some ideas for our own poem about courage. We talked about times we have been brave, and them shared our ideas with the rest of the class.
·        In Maths this week we have been thinking about shape. We named and described the properties of 2D shapes, and then made patterns using these shapes. We also looked at 3D shapes, and tried to spot them in our classroom.
·        In our Topic work this week we have had a go at some observational drawing. We went outside on the field and drew some pictures of what we could see. On Tuesday we spent the day thinking about the Olympic value of ‘courage’ as part of the legacy of the Olympics. We drew pictures of times we had been brave in our lives, and attached to a huge puzzle piece. We then joined the pieces from the other classes together and made a fantastic jigsaw.
