This week in Falcon Class...

 ·  In Literacy this week we have been learning about information texts. We found some books about the seaside and we looked at the different features such as contents, index, page numbers etc. We then used the books to find out facts about the sea, and then wrote our own information page about the seaside.
·   In Maths this week we carried out a survey to find out how many cars were parked along Caythorpe High Street. We filled in our own tally charts, and used the information to find out which was the most/least common car colour.
·   In our Topic work this week we have been busy thinking about the seaside environment. We thought about the different things that you might find under the sea, and painted pictures of these during art. We were also very sporty this week as we took part in our first Sports Day at school! We also had lots of fun with pre-school as we all took part in a mini-Olympics on the school field.

Mini-Olympics

Today we took part in a mini-Olympics event with pre-school. We tried lots of different activities including throwing and catching, javelin and an obstacle course. We had a great time, and a big thank you to Mrs Pocock for organising it for us!

A very busy Tuesday!

Today was a very busy day in Falcon Class. In the morning we went on a village walk, finding out how many cars we could spot on Caythorpe High Street! In the afternoon we took part in our very first Sports Day. We all had a great time and everyone tried very hard. Have a look at our photos....

The Rainbow Fish

In Literacy we read the story 'The Rainbow Fish.' We then painted and decorated our own fish, making sure we included lots of shiny scales!
