- In
Literacy this week we have been learning about Florence Nightingale. We
found out why she was famous, and how she helped make hospitals a better
place. We looked at a drawing of the hospital where she worked, and
labelled the changes that she had introduced.
- In
Numeracy this week we have been having a go at estimating. We went outside
and estimated the results of different activities, such as ‘how long will
it take us to run around the playground?’ We then did the activities for
ourselves, and worked out if our estimates were too high or too low.
- In our
Topic work this week we have thinking about people who are important to
us. We were very busy making Mother’s Day cards and gifts, as well as
celebrating World Book Day. We all looked great in our costumes and
enjoyed taking part in book-themed activities, such as sharing our books
with children from other classes, and drawing our favourite book
character.
