·        In Literacy this week we have been learning about poetry. We read lots of different poems together, and then planned some ideas for a poem of our own about light and dark. We also began learning a poem to help us remember the names of different shapes.   

·        In Numeracy this week we have been recapping our work on 2D shapes, as well as learning the names of some 3D shapes. We sorted different shapes into different groups, made patterns using different shapes, played shape matching games and ‘guess the shape’, as well as making different shape pictures.

·        In our Topic work this week we have been learning about light and dark. We looked around the school for different light sources, and had a go at drawing some of our own on the computer. We also looked at the cycle of the moon, and talked about how the moon changes throughout the month.
