In
Literacy we read the story of ‘The little red hen.’ We took turns acting out
the story using role play masks and then performed our ‘show’ to the rest of
the class. We talked about how the hen was feeling in the story and whether it
was fair for the other animals not to help him. We then wrote a list of words
to describe each character.

In
Maths we have been working on adding two groups of objects together. We began
by adding ‘one more’ before adding two larger numbers. We also had a go at
writing a simple number sentence e.g. 3+1=4

In
our Topic work we painted some lovely pictures of different farm animals,
linked to the story we were reading this week. We also went for a walk around
the school, looking for different objects that we could push or pull e.g.
doors, drawers, chairs etc. In PE we practised travelling around the hall in
different ways such as jogging, jumping, skipping, hopping and marching whilst
in music we thought about the different sounds we could hear in the environment.
