This week in Falcon Class...

·        In Literacy we read the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man.’ We talked about what happened in the story and then decorated some gingerbread men biscuits. After that we wrote some instructions to explain how to decorate a gingerbread man. 

·        In Maths we have been working on measuring weight and capacity. We compared the weights of different objects and recorded the results. We also had a go at working out which containers could hold the most water. 

·        In our Topic work we made some fantastic gingerbread men collages using tissue paper. We also went to the computer room and made some drawings of the gingerbread man. In science we continued our work on ‘pushes and pulls’ and had a go at pushing small vehicles along different surfaces. We found out that it was easy to push a car on concrete and the carpet, but it was difficult on grass and sand.
