This week in Falcon Class...

·        In Literacy we read ‘The Gruffalo’, which is one of our favourite stories! We made some masks of the different characters in the story, before drawing and labelling a picture of the Gruffalo. We tried really hard to include some of the sounds we have been learning in phonics in our writing.
·        In Maths we have been thinking about the terms ‘more’ or ‘less’ and how to use those terms correctly when describing different amounts of objects. We have also been working on our counting skills, trying to match groups of objects to the correct numbers.
·        In our Topic work we have painted a picture of one of the characters from ‘The Gruffalo’ which will be displayed in the classroom. We have also been thinking about our bodies and we had a go at labelling the different parts of our bodies. We also talked about the different ways we can stay healthy, such as eating lots of fruit and vegetables, drinking lots of water and getting lots of sleep!

Show and Tell - Friday 4th October - Vivienne, Dontay, Alex-Jai, Alfie, Noah and  Grace

The Gruffalo (continued)

We have also painted pictures of the characters from the story. They were so good that they have been displayed in the classroom for all to see!
