· In
Literacy this week we have been talking about our Christmas holidays. We took
it in turns to share what we got for Christmas, and drew a picture of our three
favourite presents. We then had a go at writing a label to match each picture.
· In
Numeracy this week we have been recapping our work on numbers 1-10 and beyond!
We had a go at recognising and ordering the numbers, before practising the
number formations in shaving foam.
·
In
our Topic work this week we have been thinking about what is special to us, and
we painted a picture of our most special possession. We also took part in a
science experiment, trying to find out how to stop ice cubes from melting. We
thought of lots of different ideas and tested them out. We put some in the
fridge, some in the freezer, we left some outside and we left some in the
classroom. When we came back the next day we compared the results and found out
that the fridge must be the coldest place, although outside came a close
second!
