In Literacy this week we have been
thinking about the different values of the Olympics, particularly
friendship. We have talked about what friendship means to us, and what a
good friend should be like. We thought of lots of ideas and then each
wrote a sentence to describe friendship. We then put the sentences
together to make a class poem!
In Numeracy this week we have been busy
measuring the length and height of different objects in the classroom and
outdoors. We have used the terms ‘longer’, ‘shorter’, ‘taller’ to describe
the size of different objects, and have been finding out how long objects
are using cubes.
In our Topic work this week we have been
busy practising for Sports Day which is just around the corner. We have also
been making some ‘Olympic artwork’ for our class display, including flags,
medals and the Olympic rings.
