Our visit to Rand Farm (continued)

Whilst we were at Rand Farm we were very lucky and got to have a cuddle with some rabbits. They were very cute!!!

This week in Falcon Class...

  • In Literacy this week we have been reading the story 'Owl Babies.' We had a go at acting out the story by taking on the roles of the four main characters and the narrator. We then wrote a short version of the story, writing the events in the correct order.
  • In Maths this week we have been working with money, choosing two different items from our shop and working out how much money we would need to buy both. We also looked at how to work out how much change we would get if we didn't spend all of our money.
  • In our Topic work this week we have been thinking about nocturnal animals and why they might come out at night. We were also very busy on Wednesday during our 'Olympic Legacy Day', taking part in different sports-related activities and having lots of fun!

Looking after some eggs!

This week Reception and Key Stage One have been very lucky and have been given some eggs to look after until they hatch. On Thursday we went to have a look and talked about why they need to be kept in an incubator. We will keep you posted.....

Olympic Legacy Day

On Wednesday we took part in the 'Olympic Legacy Day' during which we thought about the values of the Olympics and how we could show them in our lives. We also had a go at riding a bike which was so big most of us couldn't get on it by ourselves!
