The last day of school!

On Thursday, Falcon Class celebrated the last day of term, and for many of them, the end of their first year at school! We watched the brilliant Year 6 Assembly, followed by a lovely picnic lunch with our Mums and Dads, before enjoying 'Caythorpe's Got Talent.'

A very big thank you to Falcon Class for a fantastic year at school. Miss Turner and Mrs Dewey will miss them (and Mrs Rickard too!) but we know that they will have a fabulous time in Hawk.

See you in September!

Falcon Class welcomes some visitors...

On Tuesday, Falcon Class was visited by some gorgeous ducklings, kindly brought in by Anthony, who told us all about what they ate, where they lived and how he takes care of them. They were very friendly and well-behaved, and made themselves right at home!

A lovely present

This week Falcon Class was very kindly given a leaving present  - a gorgeous rabbit called 'Snugly'! Snugly is now able to take the place of 'Eric' our previous class teddy, who can now retire after several years of loyal service to the children of Falcon Class.

A very big thank you to the Stevens Family for their extremely thoughtful gift!

Mini-Olympics

On Monday, Falcon Class took part in the mini-Olympics with pre-school, and had fun participating in lots of different events, such as balancing, jumping, running and throwing. We all did really well and received a gold medal for taking part. Thank you very much to pre-school for inviting us to join in with their games!

Thank you Mrs Laing!

A big thank you to Mrs Laing for painting us a fantastic tree for our new wall display. We all love it and think it's amazing!

This week in Falcon class….

·    In Literacy this week we have been writing some instructions. On Tuesday we made a fruit salad, and then we sequenced photographs of the activity, and wrote some instructions to match.
·   In Numeracy this week we have been working on our measuring skills, and have had a go at finding out the weight of different objects.  We have used lots of key words such as ‘heavy, light, weight, balanced etc.’
·   In our Topic work this week we have been thinking about where we live, what we like and what we would change. We have also been busy making medals for our ‘mini-Olympics’ next week, using card, tissue paper and ribbon.
