This week in Falcon Class...

This week we have been thinking about what we have enjoyed doing this year. We talked about what school might be like next year and how we were feeling about it. In maths, we took part in some activities related to position and direction, including directing our friends around the playground whilst they were blindfolded! On Tuesday we took part in a day of different sporting activities including rugby, cheerleading, boccia and rhythmic gymnastics.

This week in Falcon Class...

-In Literacy this week we read the story ‘Eddie’s Garden’. We labelled the garden in the story before designing and labelling our ideal garden. We have also been busy writing our targets for next year.
-In Maths this week we have been working on sharing objects into different groups. We have also been busy estimating different amounts of objects and counting them to see if we were correct.
-In our Topic work this week we have been creating collage flowers for a class display. We talked about how to be safe on the roads as part of ‘Road Safety Day’ and on Wednesday and Thursday we welcomed pre-school into our classroom for their visits.

This week in Falcon class….

-In Literacy this week we have been thinking about our visit to Belton House. We talked about what we did and painted a picture of what we enjoyed doing the most. We then wrote a short recount of our trip.
-In Maths this week we have been working on our number recognition and formation, trying very hard to form our numbers the correct way. We went outside to do some water painting and also had a go at playing a number pairs game.

-In our Topic work this week we looked at the results of a science investigation. We placed three pots of cress seeds in different locations with different amounts of water and light to see what would happen. On Monday we had a fantastic time at Belton House and we really enjoyed looking at the different plants and flowers.
